What makes a good submission

We review small, independent businesses serving consumers in the United States. The best submissions include:

The business name and city. A short note about why this business stands out — exceptional service, unique offering, longstanding reputation, or a concerning pattern worth investigating. Any specific details that would help our research team get started: website, owner name, or distinctive products.

What we cannot do

We cannot guarantee that every submitted business will be reviewed. We receive far more submissions than we can cover, and our editorial team selects based on broader factors including consumer interest and regional importance.

We do not accept payment for review consideration, and we do not give priority to businesses that submit themselves over those submitted by readers.

If you own the business you are submitting, please disclose this in your message. We accept self-submissions but always note them as such during the research phase.
