The internet has more business reviews than ever before, yet trustworthy reviews remain remarkably hard to find. Fake reviews flood major platforms. Paid placements masquerade as editorial recommendations. And the small businesses doing extraordinary work in American communities often go unnoticed amid the noise.
We founded US Business Reviews to do something different. We write independent, editorial reviews of small businesses across the country — researched by our team, written in our voice, and never influenced by payment. A business cannot pay us for a better score. We do not accept money in exchange for coverage. And every review is updated annually so our recommendations stay accurate.
What we do
We cover small businesses across more than thirty industries — from restaurants and home services to healthcare and professional services. Our editorial team selects businesses based on consumer interest, regional importance, and reputation. We research each one thoroughly, often interviewing customers, competitors, and the business owners themselves, before writing a long-form review.
Each review includes a numerical score across four dimensions — quality, value, communication, and timeliness — alongside a written assessment, a list of strengths and considerations, and an editorial verdict.
How we make money
Editorial integrity requires financial independence. Here is how we sustain our work:
Badge licensing. Businesses we have reviewed favorably may license our official badge for use on their own websites and marketing materials. The licensing fee covers usage only — it does not influence the review itself, which is finalized and published before any licensing conversation occurs.
Advertising. We accept clearly-labeled display advertising from brands in industries we cover. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content.
Featured placements. Businesses may pay for clearly-labeled featured placements within their industry category. These placements never alter the editorial scoring or rankings.
Every commercial relationship is disclosed in our disclosures page.
Who we are
US Business Reviews is operated by a small editorial team committed to fair, thorough, and honest business journalism. We believe small businesses deserve the same quality of independent coverage that larger companies have always received — and that consumers deserve a publication they can actually trust.
